Big Run!
Wassup peeps!! I ran an awesome 15K yesterday!! WOW, it was awesome, and im not even in that much pain today, which is very surprising. I did it in 2:03. Not bad, my goal for the 21.1 is now 2:45!! Hope i can do it. Gotta keep working at this!!!

SUP!!

DANG HOT!
Ok so I went out yesterday with the intent of running only 5k, because I figured even with the HEAT I could probably do that and be ok!! WELL, when I got to my 5k half way mark, I got all courageous .. LOL and kept going. Needless to say I only brought enough water for 5, so at 7K i ran out of water, at 7.5K I felt like this was the point where a runner says.. ok i should really stop, but doesnt and goes on and then passes out from heat exhausion!! LOL, anyway, i didnt pass out, and i only made it to 9K in 1:16 which is pretty bad, but under the circumstances, I can live with it. NOTE TO SELF.... when its 43 with the humidity.... RUN ON THE TREADMILL IN YOUR COLD BASEMENT!!!! Just did 27 mins of kettlebells, and im already sore. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relay for life
Ok so I decided at 10:45PM that I was gonna run 5k at the relay! And!! Run I did. I'm not sure what happened but I ran my best 5k ever!!! 33:58. NICE!!

Ottawa Marathon Weekend
Wow!! What a crazy race weekend that was!! The people!!! MY GOODNESS!! Anyway, I survived!! Did the 10k in 1:15:15. I tried to keep up with the 70 minute pace bunny but i lost him after the first water station. Maybe if it wouldnt have been so hot.... Anyway, let the training continue!!

Sucky time!!
OK so I ran 6.25k in 49 mins today, THATS AWEFUL!!!! Wow, should I be really wrapped up in my time?? Or should I just be happy that I did it?? I havent decided yet! You can probably shave 3 minutes off that for waiting for the damn lights today! JEEEEZZZZZZ that was terrible!!

Back at er'
Had a good 5k run with Jenni yesterday! Although, i must say waiting until 2pm on a crazy hot day to run, wasnt the smartest thing to do!! 5k in 37 mins.... Lets try to do better today!! Hopefully it wont get as hot. Awesome thing about running by the water on River rd, is you get to smell all the lilac trees!! That was totally awesome.

Ottawa Race Weekend
Ive got 13 days to better my 10k time!!! WOW, better #getmyrunon......
Its been a crazy couple of weeks, havent done much running... Getting back on track is hard, but it must be done!! I have a half marathon to run in September, and I do want to RUN the whole thing!!

And that I did!!! Ben & I ran 21.1K yesterday!! WHOOOAAAATTTT!! Its probably the hardest thing I have had to do in my whole life.. and im pretty old! WOW, I felt bad for him, he does it in 1:45, yesterday, we did it in 2:58!! What a motivator!! WOW, I never could have done it without him, I was ready to quit at 11K! Then at 15K LOL, and every KM after that.. WOW...

TORNADO!!!
Ok sooooo St Louis weather is pretty scary! Our 5k run got cancelled this morning. But we decided to do the run anyway.. Since they gave us our medals anyway! Nice ones too! Anyway once your wet.. Your wet! It was fun. Aly had a ball!

SPINNING??
So... I participated in my very FIRST Spinning class today! It was pretty intense. I found it really really hard to get my butt of the seat and give 'er at first, but by half way through I just made myself suck it up and DO IT!!! And according to a wonderful website I found, I just burned 400 calories!
It was a nice change, Jenni & Mallori also participated! Just one more fun exercizyyy thing for us girls to do! My abs are still killing me from Kettlebells yesterday... OH WELL
SUCK IT UP!! oh... day 5 of green juice....down 8lbs. NICE!!!

Not bad!!
I dont know what it is, but the last 2 days Ive been full of energy while on the treadmill. Today I was able to do 4.25K in 30 mins, which is awesome for me!! I dont know if its the juice diet ive been on since Sunday... probably!!! Its actually working.. Im losing weight, and im not starving!!! NICE!!

10 days!!
10 days to St Louis marathon weekend!!! WOW!!!! So excited, im only doing the 5k, but Biker Ben is running the 42.2K!
We are also all signed up for the Philidelphia marathon weekend, I will be running the 8K there, Alyson is running the 1.5 miles kids run and again.. Biker Ben is running the 42.2k!! SOME DAY!! SOME DAY!! I tell you!! Im gonna do it!!!!!!!!
Good run on the treadmill today, 4.02k in 30 mins..

KICKED OUT!!
Ok so the funniest thing happened today. We were doing kettlebells in the room at work where we book it for over the lunch hour. ANYWAY!! Some dude, comes in with about 15 cops because hes also booked it... AWKWARD.. Needless to say we got kicked out.. Funnist part though, we ended up having to do it in an open space of the office where people were walking by.. some noticed us.. some not at all LOL. Pretty funny. Oh well, we still got the job done!

I got nothin for yah... bad out for running.. Cross training mostly at the gym this week, cant seem to score the treadmills!! H.I.I.T = H.E.L.L!!
Ok well maybe its not HELL, but OMG its hard!!! Second day of our HIIT run., it was a little harder to get through today because we were all pretty sore from yesterday. Might need the weekend to recover. Back at the craziness Monday!!! WHOOT WHOOT!!!!
We did a warm up run, then 15 mins of HIIT and cool down. So 3.5K in 25 mins.

H.I.I.T
So today Jenni, mallori and newcomer cara lea tried this hiit! Which stands for high intensity interval training! CRAZY!! Ok so you warm up then u run like I mean run like your running for your life for 10 seconds then you walk 20 seconds. You do this for 20 mins. Holy crap!! It's hard. But it's supposed to be an awesome workout helps u lose belly fat. Hopefully it will get me a better 5k time while I'm at it to!! Great job ladies. It was an awesome experience!

HOTTER THAN A MOFO!
Ok, I hate to complain, but MAN O MAN its friggin hotter than a mofo out there. GEEEEZZZZ
That was the worse run EVER!! Felt like I was going to die, I still feel like I might pass out!!! WOW. Anyway, 5K in 39:15. Not great.. not sure how im going to shave 6 minutes off this time in 3 weeks for St Louis!! AHHHH THE PRESSURE! Oh well, I can only do what I can do!! My best time ever was 35:10, hopefully the adreneline will kick in at the race and make me GO!!!!!!

GOT MY RUN ON!
Great day for a run!! What a beautiful run by the water just behind where I work. Nice long path goes out to Hogs Back even!! Might have to do that one sometime soon!! Ran with Elizabeth today, she's gettin her 21.1K on!! In Alaska in June!! AWESOME U GO GIRL!!!!!!! She also has a blog .. take a look. Its called Alaska Bound 4 Cancer.

Interval Training
What a great run today!! Did 5K with Jenni & Malori. Malori was unsure of what she could achieve, but WOW! She did awesome. We started off that we would run 1K and walk, for as long as she needed to get to 5K, but she was actually doing awesome! We only walked about 1K in total. Our time was 41:54. Not bad!! Its gonna be a great week!
OH!! And NO foot pain!!!! WHAATTT!!!

Damn shoes!!!
Ok, so I bought a new pair of running shoes because I had convinced myself that the Mizuno's I bought last season where the cause of my foot pain. They had high arch padding in them because my doctor told me my heels had dropped, so I assumed I needed the extra support. BUT, now after running outside just one day with them, Im having the same pain on the top of my foot.. not as bad as it was, and maybe its just because it was an outdoor run, so maybe I just need to get back into it. Im hoping thats all it is, because them damn shoes aint cheap!! And I dont know what else to do here!! The weather is looking awesome for Sunday and most of next week, so I think by then I should get a few good runs in and I should be able to tell by then. Hopefully its just temporary! Gonna try to get a 10K run in the next few days. Hopefully Sunday! Stay tuned.

GREAT DAY FOR A RUN!!
Wow I cant beleive it actually got to 10 degrees!! Jenni & I made it out for our run, we had to make a bit of a change, but it was awesome!! Execpt for the running in puddles part and getting showered by cars! But who cares SPRING IS HERE!!! We did pretty awesome!!! I overdressed as per usual!! There was no need for 2 long sleeve shirts.. bad habits are hard to break!!! Shorts & a tshirt would have been fine for this awesome weather! #getyourrunon!

Go! St Louis
5 Weeks to GO!! St Louis Marathon !! Biker Ben is running the 42.2KM!! WHOOT WHOOT! Alyson & I are going to do the 5K. Actually Biker Ben is running with her for the 5K too so that I can get a decent time. Im hoping to shave a couple of minutes off. So hopefully around 33 mins. But at this rate of NOT running outside, im not too optimistic that it will happen. Oh well, whatever, as long as I finish without falling over myself! haha Thats my goal! Its so exciting!! April 12th we leave Ottawa, the 5k is on the Saturday and then the Marathon on Sunday morning. We leave to come back home that same evening.

OVER MY HEAD?
Ok so is it even realistic to think 6 and a bit months is enough time to train for a half marathon? Like to run the whole time without having to walk any of it? Because that is the goal!! To actually run the whole thing. I know I can run 13k but it takes me FOREVER!! And it doesn't help that it's still winter out there. I don't care what anyone says running on a treadmill is not the same as running outside! Starting to freak out a bit here...

Gym HO HUM
So about once a week im getting to the gym and there is no treadmill available. Again I say... how am i supposed to #getmyrunon!! I dont mind the eliptical, but its not my first choice and according to Paul Plakas from XWeighted .. and I quote his tweet to MOI! "Traditional repetitive action activity called "Cardio" is not the most effective way to train, ellipticals are a terrible choice". I was afraid to ask him if that was the same thought on treadmills...
The work gym kinda sucks sometimes, it's a bit overcrowded at times, especially around 11:30. Yesterday some dude had the cohones to ask me when I was getting off the treadmill?? SAY WHAT!!! When Im damn ready!! Think I'll be going back to my 1pm routine. I changed to 11:30 for company, but I think Ive convinced the other girls to come with me.. We'll see., If it would just stop snowing and being all "winter like" outside, there would be no problem!!

Mama got a new pair of shoes!

Never thought running shoes would get me this excited!! Had my first real run outside this year, did the 5K Winterman run this past weekend. It was a Winterlude event with tonnes of participants! Nice medal too!! It was pretty awesome, except I was 2 minutes slower than my best time ever and its winter out there.. if you havent noticed... my lungs werent ready for running in the cold... But I didnt come in last.. which always means alot to me! LOL
